    McCook Field
    was an airfield and aviation experimentation and research station in
    Ohio
    operated by the
    Aviation Section, U.S. Signal Corps
    and its successor the
    United States Army Air Service
    from 1917 to 1927. This year marks the 100th anniversary of the establishment of this facility.
    The field was small and close to the river. The motto "THIS FIELD IS SMALL USE IT ALL" can be seen in the photo emblazoned on the building in the background!
