1944 LIONEL Trains Railroad Planning Book

This no-reserve auction is for a 40-page 1944 Lionel Electric Trains Railroad Planning Book.
Published during World War II, this soft-cover 6” x 9” book is neither pre-war nor post-war although the trains photographed in the book are obviously pre-war.
Lionel intended this book to keep kids interested in the hobby and Lionel model trains while production of trains was curtailed during the war as Lionel was producing sophisticated military equipment for the war effort.
The authors made several references to the “post-war” period when production of trains would resume.
Attached are photos of the front and back covers plus photos of some sample pages.
As shown in the photos, this book has been well-used but all the pages are there.
One major imperfection is that there is some separation of the cover page from the staples as shown in the second scan.
Hopefully that could be taped to prevent further separation.
Also there is a 2” x 1½” rectangular hole in the last page (the pages are not numbered) where a coupon was carefully cut out by a previous owner.
And a previous owner sketched a layout plan in pencil along with some math calculations on the inside back cover.
When the photos are enlarged you can see the imperfections much better so please look at the enlarged photos before bidding.
